Polyurethanes
Polyurethane Mixing Technology
The "heart" of Polyurethane technology lies in the mixing head, where various
chemicals are blended before being deposited in the mould or on a conveyor. Cannon has produced more than 15
thousand mixing heads for a wide range of formulations and final applications. Its L-shaped, self-cleaning
patented model the Cannon FPL provides high-efficiency mixing and splash-free pouring, for
optimum use in open-mould.
Polyurethane Metering machines (high and low-pressure technologies)
Cannon Afros high and low-pressure metering machines are built to ensure the highest performances.
Easy to program, to be operated and maintained, Cannon machines are available in High-pressure
version - either pump- or piston-driven or Low-pressure, now being used by two generations of transformers.
Mouldcarriers, Mouldcarrying Systems, Complete Moulding Plants
A very wide range of equipment is available for the moulding process: mouldcarriers,
turntables and carousels to hold them, ancillary dosing units for additives, blowing agents, fillers and
colors, storage plants, premixing stations, finishing equipment. Dedicated Group Units produce special
plants for filling insulation foam in refrigerator cabinets and doors (Cannon Crios), and for every
possible application of Polyurethanes in the automotive field (Cannon Tecnos). Sandwich panels filled with rigid insulation foam are manufactured with dedicated foam laminators and are used for walls and roofs of thermally insulated buildings, for cold-storage rooms,
and insulated containers for transport of perishable goods.
Continuous Foaming Plants
Cannon Viking have been manufacturing for forty years dedicated plants for continuous
production of flexible Polyurethanes. Slabstock foams, mainly destined to furniture, bedding and
packaging applications, can be produced with conventional plants, Maxfoam, Vertifoam and
the CarDio technology - natural Carbon Dioxide-blown foams are now manufactured without
Ozone-depleting CFCs, with further advantages in foam quality and cost.

Industrial Thermoforming Equipment
visit www.thermoformers.org
for more info!
The thermoforming machines produced by Cannon Forma cover the complete
range of requirements for industrial thermoforming, i.e. those applications involving
production of medium to large parts starting from single sheets or rolls of thermoplastic material.
Refrigerator liners, automotive interior and exterior trim, aerospace, furniture,
electronic housings, luggage, advertising signs, office machines, sanitary products
such as bath tubs, and technical parts are typically the products most commonly
produced with these machines. Sophisticated electronic controls ensure quick
machine set up, fast and precise control of the heating elements and easy
re-programming of production parameters. Careful design of the machine structure
guarantees high productivity and repeatable quality. With the addition of pressure
forming and twin sheet forming technology, it is possible to produce thermoformed
parts which compete in terms of appearance and structure with components
traditionally manufactured on large scale production with injection or blow moulding
equipment.

Moulds for Plastics and Foams
Cannon engineering resources enable the Group to offer packages including
moulds. Complete plants for the white appliances and automotive applications
including foaming and thermoforming moulds can be supplied by a unique
producer, simplifying the customers project management and
guaranteeing results. Offering moulds together with more "traditional" products
means that the Cannon Group can be responsible for the whole plant, enhancing
the quality of products.
